Diabetic Women Have a Greater Risk of Heart Disease

Here is information  that is important for all females. We have know for a long time that diabetics have a greater risk of developing coronary artery disease than non-diabetics. Now we are learning that females who have diabetes have an excess risk that is twice as great as males who have diabetes.

The message is clear. If you have diabetes and especially if you are a female, you need to pay special attention to your coronary risk factors such as obesity, high cholesterol and physical inactivity.
