I think that it is time to change that old refrain of an apple a day keeps the doctor away to a new one. Try a banana a day keeps you away from the doctor. Why make the change? The reason is that bananas are so healthy that if you eat one a day you may not need to see the doctor for an illness.

The banana is heart healthy because of its high potassium content. There is also about 3 grams of fiber in one banana, much of it is water soluble fiber. With all of these healthy ingredients a banana might help lower your blood pressure and settle your digestion
