Have you ever heard this before? Well whether or not you have heard it there are a lot of people who believe that eating chocolate makes you smarter. Is this true or not true?
The answer is not clear. Some chocolate is rich in flavonoid compounds that are found in cocoa beans as well as in grape juice, tea, berries and many other plant foods. There have been a number of studies that seem to indicate that those who consumed the most chocolate, especially dark chocolate, performed better on memory tests than those who did not. but most of these studies did not have adequate controls or follow up.
The bottom line is not complicated. Whether you are smart or dumb eat chocolate if you enjoy chocolate. Eat dark chocolate and eat it in moderation.
